Ukuhumusha

Ngiyaqala nqa ukubhala ibhulogi ngesiZulu futhi angazi ukuthi kuyenziwa yini lokhu lapha eNingizimu Afrikha. Yebo ngiyathanda ukusifunda isiZulu kodwa akaze nje nakancane ngabhala into ngolimi lwesiZulu ukuze ifundwe ngabanye. Ngiyethemba ukuthi nizokujabulela lokhu. Okokuqala ngithanda ukusho ukuthi angibhali leli bhulogi ngilandela imithetho yokubhala ngoba mina ngikholelwa ukuthi uma umuntu abhala imizwa yalhe kumele abhale ngendlela ayifunayo ngakho ngicela ukuthi uma ufunda lapha naka engikushoyo kodwa uyeke umzimba webhulogi.

Njengoba isihloko sisho ukuhumusha, ngithanda ukunitshela ngothando lwami lokuhumusha. Ave ngizidla ngezinto engizenzayo okwamanje, akaze ngacabanga ukuthi mina ngingahumusha futhi ngikuthande kangaka. Le nto engiyenzayo ibizwa ngokuthi yi-localization, lokhu ukuhumusha okulotshwe kwikhompyutha yakho kanye naku-inthanethi phecelezi i-software translation. Ngingathanda ukunitshela kabanzi ngalokhu kodwa lokho kuzavela kwamanye amabhulogi wami. Mina bengithanda ukunitshela ngokujabula kwami kuphela. Ngiyethemba ukuthi bakhona abanye abantu abahumusha ngesiZulu abanamabhulugi afana newami.

Localisation in South Africa

Many people have not realised that their computer represents them, their personality. What do people think when the look at you computer, what language it comminicates in, what background image you have, what screensaver your using. If you have a picture of a lion on your background people will know that you love wild life or lions. That is what should happen when people look at your computer so your computer should speak your language too.

I like many people did not know that this is actually porssible until I went to uviversit studied translation got my degree and realised that this world is bigger that I thought, technology is bigger than I though. I this time I thought technology was selfish. I have been part of a team that translated one of the biggest web browsers in the world "Firefox", we were all volunteering and now it feels so good to see my browser communicating with me in isiZulu.

People have the right to have their computers communicating in their language, all languages are the same and that should show. I am proud to speak my language and type in my language, so should you. Open Source is the best thing since fire.
